SUNSHINE COAST SPORTS AWARDS
Nominations Have Now Closed
The Award nomination period closed on Wednesday 8th October 2025 and the Judging Panel are currently assessing over 120 nominations across eleven Sports Award categories. Finalists will be advised early November and Award Recipients will be announced on Thursday 20th November 2025 at the Sunshine Coast Sports Annual Awards celebration at Altitude Nine.
It’s now time for the Sunshine Coast sporting community to Shine Bright!
The Annual Awards uphold Sunshine Coast Sports’ core values and commitment to the development and progression of our sportspeople.
Nominations will be assessed by an independent panel of experienced sports administrators from the Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions.
The Sunshine Coast Sports Annual Awards recognise athletes, teams, coaches, clubs, officials, volunteers and sporting events for outstanding achievements that have taken place between 1st October 2024 and 30th September 2025 (i.e. the Annual Awards period)..
WHO CAN NOMINATE?
To be eligible for an award, nominees must be:
- A permanent resident, both during and outside of competition periods, of the Sunshine Coast or Noosa local government areas; or
- Represent or be a life member of a sporting club or association based on the Sunshine Coast or Noosa local government areas; or
- Have lived/ trained/ competed for the majority of their Junior career in the Sunshine Coast or Noosa local government areas and have moved away to attend tertiary education, to participate in a recognised high-performance pathway and/ or compete at an elite level in a sport that's aligned to a national sports governing body.;
- Satisfy one of the above criteria for >75% of the time leading up to the sporting achievement assessed as part of the Annual Award years they have nominated.
